This is my first flight headset and it’s really great for the price. The ear cups are really comfortable and the mic is really clear. It’s noise cancellation level is pretty good as well. I have used these for 12+months now, about 100 hours, as a casual GA pilot. The passive noise reduction/cancellation (no batteries required) is impressive. I wear wire-frame glasses and they still comfortably seal around my ears. I did buy the cloth "socks", as covers, and that made a huge improvement in eliminating any perspiration, and improving the comfort. These are a great value, and include an AUX input for any source, in addition to the aircraft plugs.

Your Questions, Answered
Do Kore headsets have active noise cancellation (ANC)?
No, the KA-1 and P1 models offer passive noise reduction with an NRR (Noise Reduction Rating) of 24dB, providing a quieter cockpit experience.
"I can only hear on one side of the ear."
For the KA-1 model, if the plane has a "Mono" system and the headset is set to "Stereo," the headset will only output in one ear. The switch in the middle of the cord needs to be changed to "Mono." Only a "Stereo" system with the headset in the "Stereo" setting will output in both ears.
"Microphone is intermittent. There is a delay in communicating."
First, check that the squelch on the plane's system is tuned properly to match the ambient noise level. It may need to be adjusted lower if it isn’t transmitting the beginning of your communication.
Do the headsets fit comfortably over glasses?
Yes, the headset fits comfortably over glasses.
Do the headsets require batteries, and if so, how long do they last?
The headsets do NOT require batteries. They feature passive noise cancellation through high-density acoustic foam earcups and gel ear seals.
What is the warranty for the headsets?
Manufacturer’s warranty for the headsets are as follows:
KA-1: 5 years
H1: 5 years
P1: 1 year
Warranty is limited to original purchaser and covers defects in material and workmanship for the specified period from date of original purchase. Warranty is not valid if our inspection shows that the equipment has been subjected to negligence, misuse or accident, or if it has been tampered with, installed, or altered in any way.
All products must be shipped to our address, freight pre-paid. Email support@koreheadset.com with a copy of your dated sales receipt and a detailed description of the problem to initiate a claim.
How can I get replacement parts for my headset?
We provide complimentary replacement parts for bolts, thumb nuts, mic muff, and head pad for products within warranty period. We reserve the right to refuse to provide if we determine that the customer is taking advantage of the warranty program.
