What is the warranty for headsets?
Manufacturer’s warranty for the headsets are as follows:
- KA-1: 5 years
- P1: 1 year
- KB-1: 1 year
Warranty is limited to original purchaser and covers defects in material and workmanship for the specified period from date of original purchase. Warranty is not valid if our inspection shows that the equipment has been subjected to negligence, misuse or accident, or if it has been tampered with, installed, or altered in any way.
All products must be shipped to our address, freight pre-paid. Email email@example.com with a copy of your dated sales receipt and a detailed description of the problem to initiate a claim.
I can only hear on one side of the ear (KA-1)
If the plane has a "Mono" system and the headset is in "Stereo" setting, the headset will only output in one ear. Switch headset setting to "Mono" in the switch box in the middle of the cord. Only a "Stereo" intercom with KA-1 in "Stereo" setting will output in both ears.
My microphone is intermittent or doesn't transmit
If microphone doesn't transmit right away, please check the squelch setting found on the plane's intercom. Squelch is what sets the noise gate to turn the microphone "hot" and transmit. It could be that the squelch level is set too high and not letting all or beginning of the transmission to go through. If microphone is not transmitting at all or it's intermittent not at the beginning of the transmission but throughout and you've checked the squelch, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we can proceed with a microphone replacement.
I cannot hear my own transmission
This is sidetone, a feature that repeats back your transmission back to your ear and it's found on the plane's intercom. The headset does not have a way to turn on or off this feature.
Can I talk on the phone using the 3.5mm aux jack?
No, the aux input is for audio only to listen to music, podcast or navigation from your phone or other mobile device. While you will be able to listen in on the headset speakers, you will not be able to use the microphone to talk on the phone.
What is the shipping processing time? When is the tracking information available?
Shipping times are calculated from the time that an order is placed to when it is shipped from our fulfillment center. Delivery times are calculated form the time that an order is shipped from our fulfillment center to when it is delivered to the buyer. Tracking information is available as soon as an order is shipped.
The shipping and delivery times in the table below apply to inventory received and stored in a fulfillment center and orders shipped within the 48 contiguous states of the US. Delivery times may be longer for orders shipped to non-contiguous US states and territories, including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.

- Expedited: Shipping within 1 business day, Delivery within 2 business days
- Standard: Shipping within 2 business days, Delivery within 3-5 business days
How can I get replacement parts for headset including thumb nuts, mic muff, etc?
For bolts, thumb nuts, microphone muff, head pad, we provide replacement parts as a complimentary service for products within warranty. We reserve the right to refuse to provide if we determine that the customer is taking advantage of the parts.
