If the plane has a "Mono" system and the headset is in "Stereo" setting, the headset will only output in one ear. Switch in the middle of the cord needs to be changed to "Mono". Only a "Stereo" system in "Stereo" setting will output in both ears.

I bought two of these to use when I take passengers with me on flights. I fly on Bose but didn't want to spend a lot of money on headsets that weren't getting used frequently. On one of the flights, I opted to use these instead of my Bose, and I have to say I was very impressed. They have good audio quality, and the mic picks up pretty well. I am more than happy with them for the price I paid. I would not hesitate to buy additional sets in the future if needed.
They are well built, and I think they are a great value for the price.
I did have one earcup come off, as I have seen in other reviews, but it really wasn't that difficult to put back on.
I don't think they are as comfortable as Bose, but I would be willing to recommend them to anyone looking for a good headset at a reasonable price.

I purchased a pair of KA-1s and Faro G2s and compared both of them against the David and Clark H10-13s. The DCs are gold standard right? My buddy and I each tried the headsets for a flight. Without question we knew the Kore KA1 was a cut above the rest. Better yet they were at the price point all aviation headsets should be! I returned the Faros and bought a second set of Kore KA1s! I’ve been flying for 9 years and I’m very impressed.
Sound quality was excellent (especially with music)
Mic worked great and comms were clear and concise
The gel ear seals were very comfortable
Oh the DCs are now only for the passengers.
